Great laptop backpack!
the product was shipped quickly and arrived within a week of ordering. The pack is very roomy and sturdy. It has an inside sleeve for a laptop and it keeps the laptop protected well during travel. Has mesh pockets on the side that work great for a water bottle. The only thing I wish it has was a zip pocket on the side of the bag for my laptop cord. Other then that it's a great bag and I recommend it if you're looking for a laptop backpack!

JanSport Sling Backpack
I fell in love with JanSport products in college. My son is starting middle school this year and I know he will be bringing home a lot more text books on a daily basis. I wanted him to have a bookbag that would be comfortable and not strain his back. This bag does the trick. We loaded it up with books around the house to test it out and he says it is really comfortable-the velcro strap is adjustable enough to fit either my 11 year old or me. Like most book bags this will not accommodate a Trapper Keeper like binder but works well with regular three ring binder and books.

Excellent Pack at this price point!
I gave this pack its first run last weekend: a short weekender about 7 miles into the deep woods and foothills of South Carolina.
I found the pack to be excellent especially considering the low price point. It is sufficiently roomy for a 3-season 2/3 day trip and has an excellent strapping system both for fit and compression.
The pack is fitted for larger framed persons; I'm 5' 7" 170 pounds and found myself cinching up the straps almost to their absolute minimum but they still functioned perfectly fine.
I also experienced the "Squeaking" problem and to me it seemed to happen only when the load shifted its weight onto the point where the straps connect to the pack and occured especially during lateral movement. This is hard to overcome during steep uphills but keeping the load properly positioned on your hips will elimnate the squeak most of the time.
The attached rain-fly fits the pack very well even when heavily loaded and with an attached bedroll and keeps it dry even in a heavy rain. The built in hydration ports are especially useful as I was able to use my Camelback resivoir with the pack.
The long and the short of it is that if you are looking to make a smart buy this is a quality pack that is smartly built that will not leave you with regrets.

Dakine Mission Pack - good all-around choice
For everyday daypack use I picked the Dakine Mission Pack out of the rest of their lineup. It has only one internal zippered pocket but it is large enough to hold all your small stuff coins etc. The four external small gear / camera / goggle pockets are well designed and easy to access and nicely lined with soft fabric.
Two main zippered-access compartments separate your gear nicely and the laptop sleeve is flexible enough to not limit use on the mountain or bike. Board carry straps may get in the way at times and might put strain on the outer zippered pocket when in use.

Great large pack
I recently bought this pack and love it. Larger outdoorsmen (I am 6'2" 220) will find that this pack fits well and is adjustable for taller individuals. Shorter or smaller backpackers may find that the pack is simply too large (it would be difficult to tighten the hip belt for a waist smaller than 34"). The main comparment is huge and the center access makes it useful on short or long treks for getting to your gear. Best hidden feature: the rain fly is semi-attached to the pack and stows in its own pocket at the very bottom of the pack. I would definitely buy this pack again.

TETON Sports Scout3400 Internal Frame Backpack
Why is this pack so inexpensive? I thought I was buying this because it looked like a decent pack for the price but I really didn't expect so much. Most quality packs are well over $100 and some even approach $200 for this kind of quality. I was so blown away with the quality construction and all the "extras" that I'm still a little speechless. What's the catch? I dare say this is the best experience I've ever had buying anything online and I buy quite a bit. So if you are wondering if you should buy the Scout3400 backpack by TETON Sports take my word for it you'll be incredibly pleased. I can't say enough about how much pack this is for the money. If 6 stars could be given this one would get it.

Exactly what I was looking for
I was looking for a backpack that I can use for both day hikes and for backpacking (I pack light when i go backpacking!). This pack is extremely comfortable and has the perfect amount of storage for carrying all my gear. It has a sternum strap (which has elastic so it doesn't constrict your breathing) and a waist strap. padding on all the straps and the padding on the back of the pack itself is plenty comfortable. There is a phone/mp3 player pouch on the left shoulder strap and the top of the pack has a special thru-hole for use with a water bladder.
My only complaint is that the zippers are a bit tricky to use. The zippers seem pretty durable but it can be a pain in the butt if you have to unzip and zip the pack frequently. I think other reviewers pointed this out too. It isn't a deal-breaker it's just kind of annoying. There is a fabric strip that covers the zippers (like most backpacks have) and if you pull it away from the zipper before you try to unzip the pack it is much easier.
As far as capacity is concerned I am able to fit all my backpacking gear (sleeping back tent food fishing gear etc) my full-size camera tripod that collapses to 15" and two 1-quart bottles in the mesh side pockets.
